My name is Mike Veny and I am a professional drummer from New York. After a nice discussion today about our common goals, the Music National Service invited me to join this forum.

It was exciting to chat with them, because I was in San Francisco, San Jose, and Oakland advocating for music education back in April. I really love it out there and plan on visiting in a few months.

This year, I set the outrageous goal of getting 1 Million People to Sign a Petition Supporting Music Education. I believe that if you want to get things accomplished, you need to set the bar high!

Last month, my company, Mike Veny, Inc. was invited to become one of the 226 members of the Support Music Coalition. I'm also partnered with the Fender Music Foundation, in a joint effort to promote music education.
