What does music mean to you?: I'm a professional musician, so music has played an all-consuming role in my life.

Why is the music-based service movement important to you?: I believe in the value of music, which comes across most strongly when performers are clear about their goals in presenting it. The Music-based service movement acknowledges this value and channels it in effective, relevant ways.

My service mission:: Right now I work with the Haitian community in Boston through the music program Open Access to Music Education for Children (OAMEC), "dedicated to engaging at risk youth into the world of music, and providing students a positive outlet to expressing themselves."
