Music, ah music! Every day, my life is filled with intrigue and wonder when I realize just how much more I have to learn about it. Music has become my haven from the harsh realities of the world. Like emotion, music is intangible - but with music, I am free to explore the realm of the unseen and make sense of all the ideas in my head.
Why is the music-based service movement important to you?
Acceptance, love, patience, leadership and kindness can all be learned through music - that's what I'm about, and that's what y'all are about!
BTW, the above comment was left by me, Patricia Lee, also a flautist, historian, lawyer, linguist, traveler. Wow for the ethnomusicology focus, sounds very interesting. I know some such people here from the Afro-American/Hispanic/Italian community in nearby Ybor City, who have been collecting recordings of the old immigrants and residents of Ybor during the cigar making era there. Interesting to compare modern hip hop and rap to the rythms of the railroad workers, bricklayers and cigar makers.
Hey there Hannah! I'm a new member and saw you are from Florida also. Met Eva Amsler (your teacher?) at the FFA Convention a few months ago. Wow! Also, my daughter, another Hana, has accepted at FSU for next fall. So I was wondering what you were up to with the Musician Corp/plan on being up to with Musician Corp, in the Tallahassee Area. Please advise, as I might be finding myself up there more often in the Fall.
