I am singer/songwriter passionate about fun, meaningful music. I play guitar, piano, I sing, play drums, hand drums, and the hammered dulcimer. There seems to be no end to my love for and curiosity about music.
What does music mean to you?
I am a professional musician now, but music has always been present in my life. I have used music as a tool for conflict resolution professionally and for creative expression personally. I truly believe that music is a universal language.
Why is the music-based service movement important to you?
Music and service belong together. I am passionate about a number of social justice issues - and music has helped me support many of them. Music brings people together. I have been able to help organizations spread the word about their work. I have been able to use music in workshops to bring people in conflict together peacefully. Those who have musical talents can serve others in so many ways!
