- About me:
- I currently serve as the director of Music National Service's MusicianCorps program. Prior to joining MNS, I served as the program manager for the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, which provides assistance to professional musicians who are struggling to make ends meet due to illness, disability or age-related issues. I hold two masters degrees in education from Boston College and enjoy painting, running and reading in addition to all things music.
- What does music mean to you?
- Raised in a house where was music was constantly in the air, I started playing piano in 3rd grade followed by the drums and then guitar, which has been my primary instrument ever since. It has bonded me to some of my closest friends, been a guiding beacon in times of great darkness and is a constant companion.
- Why is the music-based service movement important to you?
- Because music can make a difference in the world. it empowers, enriches and changes people; awakening them to possibilities big and small.

Hello Mark. I am very interested in your Music National Service program. I am currently the Artisic Director for the Eterno Inter-generational Ballet in Prescott Arizona and am finishing up my 3rd year (unheard of I know) as an AmeriCorp VISTA at Yavapai College. I serve as Social Media and Marketing Director for several of our local non-profits producing short PSA's and marketing videos to help them to sustain their programs.
Before that I served as the Performance and Fine Art Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Sedona bringing music and dance to the Hispanic children of the area. I would like to continue to develop my program after my service ends in September. I will attach a couple of links so you can familiarize yourself with my work.
