I teach K-5 music at a traditional public school in Arabi, LA, in the Greater New Orleans area. I studied classical voice in college, though my main interest has always been teaching.
What does music mean to you?
Music has been tied to my identity since my first solo singing in my school's fourth grade play. It drove my studies in college (and helped pay for them) and now is a part of my every day work, which I love. I can't separate music from any part of my life, so I guess it means a lot.
Why is the music-based service movement important to you?
I believe every child has the right to an equal and excellent education, which INCLUDES music.
Musical Interests
Performance, Promotion, Listening Appreciation
Musical Expertise
