Check out this great lecture:

Makes me think this 3rd grade boy at my school who rarely gets to stay in my music class. He comes in and runs around the room disrupting the class. I generally have to remove him within the first few minutes of class. His teacher tells me he knows the alphabet song but can't recognize any letters. He is completely illiterate. The principal tells me he has the lowest IQ in his grade. Well, apparently IQ doesn't measure kinesthetic intelligence. This boy is probably the most musically gifted student at the school. On Friday, after school before the hornet's game, we were singing Michael Jackson songs and he dances the
exact moves from the music video. Incredible. He had the whole cafeteria applauding for him. I must work to provide an environment that nurtures creativity. Any ideas are appreciated.
Thanks,
Z
